About the Peninsula Orchid Society

Founded in 1946, the POS is a society of about 250 orchid enthusiasts and professional growers serving the San Francisco Peninsula. Our mission is to increase the awareness, appreciation, enjoyment, conservation, and cultivation of orchids. To this end we hold monthly meetings as well as organize plant sales, shows, and bus trips to local nurseries. The Peninsula Orchid Society is a nonprofit organization, affiliated with the American Orchid Society.

Annual Dues

Senior membership (55 and over) $14.00
Regular membership (per person) $20.00
Regular Family Membership (all members of a family living at one address) $30
Senior Family Membership (all members of a family living at one address, at least one of whom is 55 years or older) $24
Business memberships: $26.00

Memberships run from February 1, to January 31st each year.
